Hi!
Hi everyone! I'm new here! Well, that's obviously or else I wouldn't be writing this. Anyway, you guys can call me Kevin if you'd like. I don't really have any nicknames, so just Kevin is fine. Lemme see... I'm pretty shy due to having bad social anxiety, but I'm still really nice and approachable. So don't be scared to message me or say hi or anything. I promise I don't bite.
I still don't have my own car or license due to medical issues, so I've never gotten to crank up or pump the pedals in a car before. I really would like my own car someday though. Anyway, I'm pretty friendly and very polite. I have a really big heart, and I have a tendency to say things that sound really cheesy. As for hobbies and interests, I have way too many to get into here. Some of them though are photography, reading, drawing, writing, collecting cards, video games, and learning how exactly things work. I'm also a big fan of vintage and old cars. This can mean either vintage cars that have been restored (like the ones you see at car shows and auto museums), or it can mean rusty old beaters. For reasons you'll hear shortly, I'm actually far more drawn toward old and worn down cars than I am towards new and modern ones. I'd gladly pick an old used car over a modern one. I'm also very compassionate toward cars. Yeah, I'm one of those people who talks to cars and pets them and stuff. Not everyone gets it, and that's okay. I usually only do it when I'm certain no one is looking or listening. I'm even planning to take automotive repair classes so that when I do get a car, I'll be able to take much better care of it and be able to fix it more easily if something goes wrong. Now comes what I'm doing here. See, I've been very drawn to women having trouble with their cars ever since I was little. I saw it in all kinds of movies my mom would watch. I myself still don't understand why, but there's something about a girl cranking her car and begging it to start that has always really turned me on (I can't believe I just said that!). Even more when she sweet talks to her car, calling it things like "baby" or "girl". Also, just the sound of an old car sputtering and spluttering as the engines cranks has also been a turn on. I think that's because my mind envisions a girl behind the wheel of that car, pumping the gas and begging her old car to start. I just know it gets me going, and I don't know why. I try not to worry about it since pedalpumping is a surprisingly harmless fetish. Given, I like the cranking aspect more than watching the pedals, I can still enjoy some pedal shots. There's more to what kind of things I like in pedalpumping stories or videos, but I don't want to bore you guys by continuing to ramble on. So if you'd like to know more, just ask via message and I'll be happy to share. It might not seem like it, but this was actually very hard to write. I really don't talk about it much, so openly saying here that I enjoy it and am turned on by certain aspects of it is really embarrassing for me. I figured I'd go ahead and share anyway since this whole forum is about pedalpumping, so the chance of anyone calling me weird or teasing me here is pretty slim. At least I hope it's slim. Anyway, I'm looking forward to being here, and hope we can all get along and that I'll even make some friends here. Thanks for reading everyone, and again, feel free to message me if you have anything you'd like to ask me or would like to chat. |

RE: Hi!
Welcome
It may not look particularly busy round here, but rest assured you're in good company! From the days many years ago writing my first introductory posts about being interested in pedal pumping, it genuinely fascinates me to see how many examples there are of people who, despite all having slightly different specific tastes, all have had a similar experience going through life with this interest. It certainly does a lot to one's confidence seeing others who have had similar experiences, especially when they draw the same conclusions - it seems odd to write about, but is recognised as ultimately harmless in the vast majority of cases, so why not share your experiences with other like-minded people? If your experiences are anything like mine, it doesn't get much easier disclosing to real people who aren't themselves into PP, but posting online rapidly becomes easier once you get to know other like-minded individuals. My first posts were similarly hard to get through, as were my video scripts, I was always thinking 'what on earth are they going to say to that?' Nowadays I hardly think twice about it, but certainly, if the topic came up in real life, I'd turn red pretty fast! Not wishing to sound like I'm poking fun, I'm certainly not, but do you have any idea how the inclination to show affection towards cars came about when you don't drive yourself? Like yourself, I write about it and enjoy videos with it (though any dialogue-heavy video I prefer to be in clear english speech, though I'm quite forgiving on accents) but that's because it's partially a turn-on, it also fundamentally gives a different, non-sexual mental stimulation, I'm not sure how that's best described, I would guess, maybe admiration? Definitely a positive sensation, but although not sexual in itself, when combined with the known effects a video might ordinarily had, it only enhances the experience. That's all something I live through PP material though, I don't have any particular affection towards cars myself, other than perhaps those I employ indirectly for PP videos. That includes my own car as well at this stage, there's a total disconnect between any interest in PP and actually driving myself, though quite interestingly I can still 'notice' if you will, attractive young ladies driving past in the opposite direction, not to the extent I get distracted though! All this being said, by the turn of the decade I have my eyes set on something like a Tesla Model 3, which might change my mind Just a heads up, unless you go for something very old, automotive repair classes aren't going to give you all the tools you would need to be able to repair any fault a car you own may develop. It's a real minefield of technology these days, the old mechanical jobs may still exist, but most of the things that go wrong with modern cars are electronics issues and not something you'll be able to keep up with unless vehicle repair actually becomes your trade! I think you're very unlikely to be made fun of for PP on this board, I haven't seen anybody register and post yet to slate pedal pumping in general. The worst you'll ever usually find in this field is two store owners going after one another, but even that seldom happens, at least not on my site it doesn't You're welcome to discuss things privately if you so choose, but I see no reason not to continue such discussions in view of the forum for others to comment on if they wish. |
